Job Title: Ambulance Paramedic Profession: Nursing Specialty: Paramedic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varies - ALL Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Paramedic license in the State of Wyoming Certifications: Current CPR certification Must-Have: - Emergency response experience - Strong assessment skills - Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively Description: Provides direct patient care within the scope of license or under the supervision of a physician and within pre-established rules, regulations, and protocols. Administers emergency medications in accordance with the rules and regulations of the State of Wyoming Scope of Practice for Paramedics. Accurately performs complete population-specific patient assessments, establishes care priorities, and renders appropriate care. Documents assessments and treatments of patients using the reporting system in accordance with state statutes. Ensures that ambulances and stations are maintained, clean, stocked, and ready for service at all times. When requested, assists with medical treatment of patients in other departments under the direction of the provider and RN within their scope of practice as defined by the state. Prioritizes tasks and manages time, personnel, and resources to meet department goals and standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
